Mentoring

We define Mentoring as the passing on of knowledge by a more experienced, possibly older person, to a less experienced one, through enabling a better understanding, providing guidance and support but not direct advice.

The Urquhart Partnership have gained many years of experience within the field of mentoring and have worked on a one to one, group or organisation-wide basis. Mentoring can be provided on a stand-alone basis, to supplement a training course or workshop or form an intrinsic part of a larger scale training and development programme.

We can provide support to:

  • Design and develop mentoring programmes
  • Attract, select and recruit Mentors
  • Deliver training to managers and employees to ensure a successful roll out of a mentoring programme
  • Evaluate and report on the success of a programme

Some of the many Mentoring programmes we have managed or been involved with include:

  • North West Development Agency - Business Mentoring programme with over 140 mentors / mentees pairs matched
