Leadership and Management Development Funding for NW Businesses
Funding on offer for NW Businesses…
There are significant amounts of funding available for businesses based in the NW of England at the moment to support the development of Leadership and Management skills. This funding can be used to address a variety of areas, all of which will enhance the performance of key people within the business and therefore deliver real, bottom line benefits.
The funding is simple to access, via a process that is both efficient and beneficial in itself. Firms are able to meet with a Skills specialist who will talk through the different funding routes that are available, and also take the business through a skills diagnostic exercise which will identify who in the organisation can benefit from development and in which areas.
The funding can be used to access traditional ‘classroom based’ training, coaching/mentoring support and e-learning.
If you would like more information on the funding, please contact Rebecca Charnley on 0161 237 3553 or rc@upwebsite.com
Frequently Asked Questions:

The funding is provided jointly by The Learning Skills Council, via Train to Gain, and the North West Development Agency
What type of areas can I access funding for?
Any areas that can be classed as Leadership and Management skills, these can be ‘core’ areas such as appraisal skills, recruitment and selection skills, communication skills etc, or more strategic areas such as ‘Creating a Business Strategy’ or ‘Change Management’.
When will the funding run out?
The funding is scheduled to be available until 2012

Who qualifies as a ‘Manager’ in a business?
Anyone who has a significant impact on the performance of the overall business.
We employ 140 people and have more than 3 Managers, can they all receive training or just 3?
We are able to offer programmes and courses on a ‘pay for time’ rather than ‘pay per delegate’ basis, meaning that you are not limited to how many managers receive training.
Can our Directors receive funding or is it just Managers?
The funding can be used to support development of anyone who has a significant influence on the performance of the business, so Directors would normally qualify.
How is the funding paid?
Payments are made once the client has a receipted invoice from the training provider, therefore the full amount is paid to the provider and then the funded element can be reclaimed.
